for over 20 years, I was a fashion photographer...
I was great at it!!!!! I had the opportunity to travel and create amazing images with amazing people. Then Covid hit and like many of us I had to shift gears...quickly! During Covid I dove into Digital illustration. I got creative and loved the process. but as soon as Covid was lifted I got right back into my studio and pushed forward with photography hyper-focused to ramp back up leaving all my digital illustration work behind. As i tried to jump back into the swing of things I could feel something was different. Photography was slow, people were still uncomfortable, My travel never ramped back up and on top of some crazy business stuff happing I felt maybe this was a sign to switch gears. With everything happening around me there was something in me that did not comeback from Covid. I struggled with closing my studio and leaving this amazing world that took me so many years to build behind. ...it was hard! I closed my studio, sold most of my props and items and took a hiatus to really think about "WHAT NOW!" Navigating the Art World beyond photography was new but the thing I felt most needed was doing something I loved and was fun to me. I had to let go of a lot of things in order to move on to this very new thing. I will always love photography and never put my camera in a box out of site. But my new endeavor is taking shape and hopefully this next decade will be adventurous in a whole new way. I'm excited to share with you my new work....Welcome to Urban Jipse Design Co

Photography
As in anything I have done over the past 20 something years, telling a visual story was always an important part of the process for me. Every images tells a story, and for me that story is emotional and beautiful. I use a lot of blur in my images to focus on the dreamy and the wonderful. The what it could be and what it is to the individual. My photography has always been dreamy, romantic and ethereal.
Illustrations
My Illustrations and Watercolor is more whimsical and child like. I love children's books, old toys and the innocence of childhood. I always thought being a children's book author would be amazing....I love color and the childish doodle. I feel I incorporate that into a lot of my illustrations
